En España también, obviamente, tenemos nuestras comidas tradicionales pero es cierto que es bastante diferente. Nosotros, por ejemplo, siempre comenzamos con langostinos o con algo de marisco, jamón serrano, queso. Esos son los entrantes. Luego viene la sopa, luego viene el plato principal, y es que creo que no hay. O sea, casi seguro que no hay. Simplemente hacemos una comida un poquito más especial, normalmente al horno. Pero, por ejemplo, lo de pavo al horno… Bueno, alguna casa lo hará pero no es típico. Mucha gente hace pescado al horno.
This all sounds very delicious but it doesn´t sound very "christmasy" to me. We also have gravy. I forgot to say gravy. Gravy is an important part to drizzle over your food, it´s a kind of sauce. We also have Christmas pudding and people can put brandy and light the Christmas pudding and it´s very beautiful.

Pues como postre en España tenemos los famosos también, mantecados, que es una masa de almendra, están súper ricos: almendras, aceite, harina. Vale, no es nada jugoso, o sea… cero jugoso, tu boca va estar como...

Un poquito sí, la verdad es que sí. Estas que son "Delicias de Antequera", son de los mejores mantecados del mundo entero. Realmente muy buenos. Y yo recomiendo por lo menos probarlo.

Pues, realmente, desde que mi hermano y yo vivimos fuera de la casa de mis padres, es el momento en el que todos nos reunimos y compartimos, nos reímos, bebemos champán todos juntos. Eso es muy típico, beber champán al final de la cena.

And me? Well, in reality I don´t really like Christmas so much. It's not my favorite holiday. Yes I´m a bit of a Scrooge, I´m a Grinch but, like you, I like to be with my family, I like to spent time with friends. But my favorite… well the thing I don´t like is all the festiveness, so all the lights and all of the singing. Children singing… No it´s not my favorite thing in that sense with the festiveness of it all. But the family time and the food of course! I´m very greedy. Those are the things I like.
Hombre, también es muy bonito cuando la mañana de Papá Noel (no tenemos Santa Claus), o los tres Reyes Magos te levantas por la mañana y tienes alguna sorpresita, ¿no? Es bonito.
If they existed, they don´t exist. If they came literally first of all I´d be a bit scared. In all fairness yes the idea of it is very magical. We don´t have these three magic kings. We call them the three wise men. And we don´t call him Papa Noel we call him Father Christmas.

Pues en español, Papa Noel y, muy importante y muy tradicional, los tres Reyes Magos. Los llamamos, perdón, Los Reyes Magos, no Los Tres Reyes Magos. De Oriente.
Lo más importante que queríamos deciros con este vídeo es que la Navidad se ha convertido, como todos sabéis, en la época de mayor consumo de algunos países, por ejemplo de España, que gastamos una barbaridad, una cantidad exagerada de dinero, muchísimo. En regalos, en comida, en preparar la casa...mucho.
Yeah I agree, It´s a very very very commercial holiday. Where people over spend, people only think about gifts, and I think I agree with you. It´s a time where we should think about spending time with our families and not so much about material things.

For me a present… I don´t remember one. You´ve taken me by surprise. Presents have never really been important to me in that sense I can´t think of one… Can you?
